**Purpose**: Lists what must be in place before you install Accertify Account Protection in Auth0.

**Audience**: Engineers and administrators preparing an Auth0 tenant for Account Protection.

**Applies to**: Accertify Account Protection for Auth0 login screening and sign-up screening.

**Does not apply to**: Installing the Accertify collector, which is a separate onboarding step.

## Requirements

- **An Auth0 account and tenant**. You can sign up for free.
- **Accertify Account Protection API credentials** (a username and password) and your assigned API host. If you don't have these, contact your Accertify representative.
- **The Accertify collector running on your login page**, and on your sign-up page if you screen sign-ups. It is the same device and behavioral collector you use today. If it isn't installed yet, that is a separate onboarding step. Your Accertify representative can help.
- **For sign-up screening, a Database or Passwordless connection**. Auth0 runs the Pre User Registration trigger only for these connection types. See [Sign-Up Screening Coverage for Auth0](docId:1qVbpSvIf1O-5b9WtSW77).

## Test Tenant

Accertify strongly recommends a separate test tenant for your first install. Once the Action is added to your Login flow, it runs on every login in that tenant. Install and verify the Action on a test tenant before turning it on in production.
