Passing Device and Behavioral IDs at Sign-Up
ext- parameters don't reach the sign-up trigger, so sign-ups use a different route: include the collector's IDs in the sign-up request's user_metadata. Send ID references only, with no payload data. For the conditions that apply, see Sign-Up Screening Coverage for Auth0[Sign-Up Screening Coverage for Auth0].
To pass:
Call window._bcn.snapshot() and wait for the bundle it returns.
Include deviceTransactionID and ubaID from the bundle in the user_metadata of the sign-up request. The following example uses auth0.js:
async function signUp(email, password) {
const bundle = await window._bcn.snapshot();
webAuth.signup({
connection: 'Username-Password-Authentication',
email,
password,
user_metadata: {
deviceTransactionID: bundle.deviceTransactionID,
ubaID: bundle.ubaID,
}
}, function (err) {
// handle the result
});
}Expected result: Your sign-up request includes deviceTransactionID and ubaID in user_metadata.
